Prayer Warriors@ St Mary Help Of Christians Church, Aiken, South Carolina at 118 York Street SE, Aiken, SC 29801-4568 US - New Life In Christ
Pictures From Charlene and John Leyba: ******************************************************************** Email in October 2004 sent to the prayer chain from Marolyn Baril, parishioner of St Mary Help Of Christians Church: Many of the signs and billboards in the area were no match for Hurricane Charley. However, one billboard resisted the 100-mile per hour winds of the eye wall of the storm.. While the billboard still stands, the advertisement that was there when Hurricane Charley hit was pealed back to reveal an earlier message. When the sun rose the next morning on Sand Lake Road in Orlando the words on the billboard clearly read (see below). Sr. Nannette Fisco Little sisters of Joseph & Mary http://www.thejosephhouse.org/ Pictured above, Sr. Nannette Fisco, took her first vows on Mercy Sunday 2003 at the chapel of the Apostolate. Recently a letter was received detailing her experiences since arrival in Maryland. Nannette seems to be immersing herself in the life of the Apostolate and communal living with the sisters. Her Sister Superior has assigned her two cases, both of which she seems to be working on diligently, all with God's Help!
Please continue to pray for Nannette and all religious everywhere.
We miss you Nannette! New Life In Christ This little boy's family were past parishioners of St Mary Help Of Christians Church, Aiken, SC. The family moved to Atlanta, Ga. We prayed for Keegan (& his family) when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The following two cards were from Keegan's funeral and the thank-you note received by Chandler Vincent from the family. Both files are formatted for Adobe Acrobat Reader .pdf If your computer does not have this reader software, click on link below to download that free reader. :

New Life In Christ Another prior prayer request, from mother Gindy for her daughter Cheyenne. This picture of Cheyenne was recently taken on the Make-A-Wish Cruise in May. Please continue to pray for this child and her family. (picture received from Minh Huynh, Genesco, NY.)
Dear friends, It seems the doctors are giving up on Cheyenne :-( but we all know that the Lord always holds and embraces her dearly and tenderly. May he continue to give her and her family the grace to perceive his loving will for them. Amen.

Neil DeSouza has a Prayer to St. Peregrine. He suggests that maybe we could further unify our prayers through that for Cheyenne.
Prayer to St. Peregrine
=================
O Saint Peregrine, you have been call "the wonder-worker" because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have recourse to you.
For many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more.
You who were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction, ask of God and the Blessed Virgin the cure of these sick person(s) who we entrust to you....
Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall praise God for His great goodness and mercy. Amen.
Say three Our Fathers, Hail Marys, and Glory Be's.

Ann sent news that Cheyenne passed away over the weekend. She asked for prayers for Cheyenne's soul and family.
The calling hours are tonight and I pray for strength. 7/1/03
I am sending Gindy and Kevin's address. The weeks that follow will be very hard for them. They will still need our prayers and I know they will love to have the cards.

"So I told him about my distress and anguish asking why the Lord allows his beloved ones to suffer so greatly at times. Humbly, I was told that we must have faith in the heavenly Father who knows all and knows what is best for each one of his children. Be patient and trust in Him who can't deny himself for He is love!"
We continue to pray especially for those who don't know God and don't have faith. Amen.
Thank you all very much.
Your sister in Christ,
